*NEW* Hockey Academy Coming in 2024-25 School Year
The Grimshaw Trojans Hockey Academy is making a comeback at Grimshaw Public School after a brief hiatus.
Beginning in the Fall, Grimshaw Public School will one again offer a free hockey option to students in Grades 7-9. A very similar option was offered to Grimshaw Public School students in pre-pandemic years, and both Principal Jessica Shaw, and Teacher Kyle Weaver are excited to be bringing this option back to their students.
Led by Mr. Weaver, students who are both already playing hockey, and students who have never laced up their skates will have an opportunity to learn the quintessential Canadian sport.
Students will build their hockey skills and learn how to use those skills in offensive game strategies. The students will also be involved in fitness training, focused on balance, agility and cardio. On average, students will have four hours of ice time every week.
