Shining a Spotlight on Student Success: Year End Awards
At the end of each school year we like to take a moment and congratulate students on their individual successes through our year-end awards. Today, Grimshaw Public School celebrated their elementary students for academic success, students who had shown the greatest level of improvement over the year, students who display the characteristics of citizenship, and students who excel in fine arts and athletics.
It's important to note that while not all students walk away from these assemblies with awards, we are proud of the achievements of each and every one of our students. You showed up. You gave it your all. And you have left a lasting impact on your school.
In addition to the awards noted above, GPS also presented two students with individual awards. The first was the Tina Glowaski and Tya Danais FNMI Memorial Award. This award was presented to Maliyah Strong for her love and interest in the FNMI culture. The second award was the Teacher's Choice Award. This award is presented to a Grade 6 student who has exemplified the GPS motto of "Knowledge, Excellence, Success." This year, that award was presented to Paisley Glenn.Congratulations Maliyah and Paisley!
